Microsoft's Copilot in 30 programme gives Australian businesses under 300 staff a free 25-seat, 30-day Copilot Business trial through a partner. Frontrow provisions it, checks your SharePoint permissions first, puts the seats on the right desks, and hands you a one-page value readout at day 30 — including which seats not to keep.

25 Copilot Business seats, free for 30 days
Microsoft's partner-led trial gives a business under 300 staff up to 25 Microsoft 365 Copilot Business licences at no charge for 30 days, provisioned through a Cloud Solution Provider such as Frontrow. Available for orders placed between 1 August and 31 December 2026.
A readiness check before anyone types a prompt
Copilot answers from whatever a user can already open. Frontrow runs the SharePoint and OneDrive oversharing check first, so the trial doesn't surface a salary spreadsheet somebody left in a shared library in 2019.
Seats on the people who will actually use them
Twenty-five seats is a pilot, not a rollout. Frontrow picks the roles where the evidence is strongest — finance, sales support, operations, anyone who lives in Outlook and Excel — and gives each a short list of things to try in week one.
A value readout at day 30
Microsoft frames the trial as ending in a value readout and a conversion conversation. Frontrow's version is a one-page summary: who used it, for what, the hours it saved, and a licence recommendation by role — including the seats not worth keeping.
Who qualifies
Under 300 staff, on a Business plan.
The trial is Microsoft's SMB offer, so it follows the Copilot Business rules. If you are on an Enterprise plan, Frontrow scopes the enterprise add-on instead — same conversation, different SKU.
- Australian business with fewer than 300 employees
- An existing Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard or Premium tenant (or Apps for Business)
- No current paid Microsoft 365 Copilot Business subscription
- Willing to name the 25 people and let Frontrow run a short readiness check

- What is Copilot in 30?
- A Microsoft partner-led trial announced on 14 July 2026 and generally available from 3 August 2026. A Cloud Solution Provider provisions up to 25 Microsoft 365 Copilot Business licences for a customer with fewer than 300 employees, free for 30 days, with the partner running a structured pilot and a value readout at day 30. Orders are available under New Commerce between 1 August and 31 December 2026.
- Is it really free?
- The 25 Copilot Business licences are free for the 30 days. Frontrow does not charge for running the readiness check, the seat selection or the day-30 readout for a Copilot in 30 pilot. Your existing Microsoft 365 licences continue as normal.
- What happens at day 30?
- Microsoft documents the trial as ending in a value readout and a conversion conversation, not an automatic outcome. Frontrow's readout recommends which seats to keep, at the current Copilot Business price of AUD $31.40 per user per month ex GST on an annual commitment (AUD $26.91 for the first year on orders placed by 31 December 2026, checked September 2026), and which to drop. Nothing is kept without your say-so. Confirm the exact trial-end mechanics with Frontrow when you sign up, because they depend on how the order is placed.
- Which Microsoft 365 plan do we need?
- Copilot Business sits on Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium or Microsoft 365 Apps for Business. If your tenant is on an Enterprise plan (E3 or E5) the SMB trial does not apply; Frontrow scopes the enterprise Copilot add-on instead.
- Can Copilot see everything in our tenant?
- It can see whatever the person using it can already open — no more, no less. That is exactly why Frontrow runs the oversharing check first. If a folder is open to "Everyone" it always was; Copilot just makes it easy to find.
- We're regional — does that matter?
- No. The trial is provisioned in the cloud and Frontrow runs pilots remotely from Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville and Adelaide for businesses across regional Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. On-site is available when a job genuinely needs it.
