Frontrow Technology

Aged care & healthcare · Australia

Care cannot wait for IT to recover.

Aged care and healthcare run on systems that have to be available at 3am and data that has to stay private. Frontrow keeps clinical and rostering systems running, protects resident information, and helps providers meet the Aged Care Act 2024 — with senior people across four offices.

Your world

Continuity and privacy are not features. They are the job.

In a care setting, an outage is a safety issue and a data breach is a breach of trust with the most vulnerable people you serve. Here is what changes when Frontrow treats the technology with the seriousness the care does.

Medication records, care plans and clinical systems have to be there at 3am, so an outage is a resident-safety issue, not a help-desk ticket.

Frontrow designs for continuity — tested backups, resilient connectivity and a documented plan for the morning something fails.

Staff are never left without the information they need to keep residents safe, and the recovery plan has actually been rehearsed.

Managed IT for care

Resident and patient health information is the most sensitive, most regulated and most targeted data a provider holds.

Frontrow makes identity the hardest thing to get past, applies sensitivity labels to clinical and personal records, and keeps an audit trail of who opened what.

The wrong people cannot reach resident records, and you can show an assessor exactly who accessed what.

Cyber for health data

Care teams run on rotating shifts and shared workstations, so access is wrong at handover or lingers long after someone has left.

Frontrow builds joiner-mover-leaver and device controls around the roster, not a 9-to-5 desk.

Access is right at the start of a shift and gone the day a worker leaves, without a manual scramble.

Identity for shift work

Most providers do not have a deep in-house IT team, so management ends up troubleshooting technology instead of running care.

Frontrow acts as the IT department — one accountable partner, senior engineers, fixed monthly pricing.

Leadership gets the technology off their desk at a predictable cost, with no surprise bills.

The compliance hook

The Aged Care Act 2024 raised the bar on information.

The new Aged Care Act commenced on 1 November 2025. Alongside stronger governance and a sharper focus on the rights of older people, it lifts the expectations on how providers handle information: who can access resident records, how that data is protected, and whether systems stay available so care continues.

Connecting clinical staff to My Health Record only adds to that. It has to sit on a secured identity and device environment, with the right access and a clear audit trail, or it becomes a risk instead of a help.

Frontrow puts the access controls, data protection and continuity in place that those obligations rest on, and documents the evidence so an assessment is something you walk into prepared.

Mapped to your obligations

Each obligation, what it asks of your IT, and the control that answers it.

Compliance lands on people, but it rests on technical foundations. Frontrow names the control for each obligation rather than leaving you to translate a standard into a configuration.

Obligations are summarised for orientation. Frontrow confirms current requirements against the official source for your provider type before any work is scoped, and works alongside your quality and compliance team rather than replacing it.

Clinical continuity

The plan for the morning a clinical system will not start.

Continuity in a care setting is not a generic backup policy. It is a defined recovery target, backups ransomware cannot reach, data that stays in Australia, and staff who know what to do while a system is down.

  • A defined RTO and RPO for clinical systems

Frontrow agrees a recovery-time and recovery-point objective for the systems care depends on, so the question of how fast you are back and how much you could lose is answered before an incident, not during one.

  • Immutable, tested backups

Backups are held so ransomware cannot encrypt or delete them, and restores are drilled rather than assumed. A backup nobody has restored from is a hope, not a control.

  • Australian data residency

Resident and clinical data stays in Australian Microsoft data-centre regions, so data-sovereignty expectations are met and easy to evidence to a board or assessor.

  • A clinical-downtime plan staff can actually follow

Frontrow documents what care staff do when a system is unavailable — the paper fallback, who to call, and how records are reconciled afterwards — so a clinical outage does not become a care failure.

What good looks like

A regional aged-care provider, on a footing it can defend.

A well-run engagement for a multi-site provider looks like this: identity hardened so only the right staff reach resident records, clinical systems on a defined recovery target with immutable backups in an Australian region, My Health Record access on managed devices with a full audit trail, and an evidence pack ready for an assessment. Care leadership stops carrying the technology risk and gets the time back for residents.

This describes the standard Frontrow builds toward for aged-care and healthcare clients. It is a target picture, not a named client outcome — Frontrow publishes client results only with consent and never invents figures.

Then add AI

Once the data is governed, the documentation can lighten.

Documentation, reporting and care-plan paperwork pull clinical staff away from residents. Once the data is governed and the access controls hold, Frontrow puts Microsoft 365 Copilot to work on that load, with the guardrails a care setting needs so it never surfaces a record to the wrong person.

Frontrow supports aged-care and healthcare providers from offices in Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville and Adelaide, with on-site reach across regional Queensland where most national providers will not show up in person.

FAQ — aged care & healthcare

What care providers ask Frontrow.

What does the Aged Care Act 2024 mean for our IT?
The new Aged Care Act commenced on 1 November 2025 and lifts the bar on governance, the rights of older people, and how providers handle information about them. In IT terms that means controlling who can access resident records, protecting that data, keeping systems available so care continues, and being able to show the evidence. Frontrow builds and operates those controls and works alongside your quality and compliance team.
Can you connect us to My Health Record safely?
Yes. My Health Record connectivity has to sit on a properly secured identity and device environment — the right people, the right access, on managed devices, with an audit trail. Frontrow gets that environment in order first, then supports the connection so clinical staff have the information they need without exposing data to the wrong hands.
Do you have senior people we can actually reach?
Yes. Frontrow works with senior, Microsoft-certified engineers across Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville and Adelaide — not a junior help-desk queue. For aged-care and healthcare clients that continuity matters, because the people who set up your environment are the people who answer when something is wrong.
