Business continuity
In October 2022, an evacuate-immediately notice covered Mooroopna and large parts of Shepparton. The Goulburn River peaked at 12.06 metres — 0.3 metres below the 1974 record — with around 4,000 properties isolated or inundated, about 6,000 properties west of the Goulburn without power at the peak, and 150 flood rescues across the district. The Shepparton–Mooroopna causeway closed for five days, cutting the twin towns apart.
